PR executive Julie Lancaster owns her own business, J.L. Public Relations Firm, and if all went well she would soon extend her business to a second location. With business booming, she sometimes has to turn clients away, but her whole life is her business, with no time for a personal life. At twenty-nine, she feels she has plenty of time for a personal life later, despite her mother’s constant attempts to get her to have a social life. Her mother feared that Julie would die old and alone. All she wanted at this point in her life was to grow her business. However, with a mini-vacation forced upon her, she had decided to go to Lake Tahoe to a cabin which had been jointly purchased by her parents and two other families.

Tyler Nichols has had a crush on Julie since they were youngsters. After attending college in Reno, he had stayed there and opened his own sporting goods store. His parents were one of the three families that had gone in on the cabin in Lake Tahoe and he escaped there whenever he could. He has not seen Julie in years, but has kept up with her life through her mother’s emails, which were sent out to the other two families, including his, who owned the cabin in Lake Tahoe. Through the emails the families were able to keep up with who was using the cabin and when it was available. As a youngster, he had been shy and nerdy, but in high school, he had discovered girls. Since then, he has filled out, but his last relationship ended over a year ago.

Having worked late as usual, Julie did not arrive at the cabin until late that night. Trying not to disturb the neighbors, she had quietly let herself in. But when she took her bags to the bedroom, she saw a large man in her bed, illuminated by the moonlight. Screaming, she ran to the kitchen and was dialing nine-one-one when she heard her name called in a familiar voice. She was surprised to see a very sexy Tyler standing in the doorway. Explaining that he thought the cabin was empty that weekend, he agreed to give her the master bedroom and moved to another room to spend the night.

The next morning, she awoke to the smell of bacon and coffee and enjoyed breakfast with Tyler. Though he offered to leave after breakfast, she assured him that they could share the cabin. Later, after a walk around the lake, they shared a kiss and the heightened sexual tension soon found them in bed together. Tyler had never forgotten her; she was the girl of his fantasies. Along the walk, she had admitted that she was happy with her life just the way it was. But Tyler did not want their renewed connection to be just a weekend fling. Can he convince her that life consists of more than just all work?
