Aphrodite, goddess of beauty, was very upset. There was a mortal that had the attention of all men. Psyche. She was a beauty and did not realize it. Aphrodite knew that she needed to do something about this matter and she knew just the person to do it. Her son, Eros, God of love, she knew that he would take care of the matter.

Eros, God of Love, was called to do his mothers bidding, to get the beautiful mortal to fall in love with anything ugly and bring her shame. Eros was about to do that when he pricked himself with the arrow that was meant for the ugly guard. He knew then that he had no choice but to take Psyche and marry her. Eros had to hide her from his mother and he knew that Psyche could never know that he was a God. It would endanger her and cause his mothers wrath.  Eros took Psyche to his home and married her. He was so much in love with her. How could he keep her a secret forever?

Psyche did not know what she had done to cause Aphrodite to hate her so much. She tried to please the Gods but somehow Aphrodite was not pleased with her. Psyche was condemned to live on top of the mountain with the monster and never to return to her family, except she was treated as a Goddess not a slave. The only thing she couldn’t do was look at her lover, ever. If she did she would be returned to her family and lose her husband forever.  Psyche was made love to as if she was a prize possession. She knew that she was in love with
her husband and that he loved her. Would she be able to resist looking at her lover? What would happen if she did?

MYTHOS: GODDESS REVENGE is a book you will not want to miss. Isabelle Spurrier has written such a moving story that it will bring tears to your eyes. Psyche was such an innocent and Eros sticking himself with his own arrow was funny. The sex scenes were so very hot and wonderfully written that you will be fanning yourself while reading.  Aphrodite was so jealous of Psyche she would do anything to get rid of her. It just made the story even better. I loved this book and I can’t wait until the second book in the series, MYTHOS: 2 MORTAL RETRIBUTIONS comes out. I will be patiently waiting to read it.
