While on his way from the hotel to attend Houston’s rehearsal dinner, Austin meets Tony Rumalati for the first time.
Right away Austin is attracted to the older man but then when they exchange introductions, he learns that Tony is the father of his soon-to-be brother-in-law.
Automatically he assumes that Tony is straight and questions if his wife will be joining him.
Tony’s been divorced since his son was very young and he’s quick to reassure Austin of that fact.
Austin and Tony quickly decide to sit together at dinner and Austin confesses that he’d like to do more than simply share dinner.
While these men begin their courtship, they have one issue standing in their way to complete happiness - Austin’s father, Vernon.
Vernon thinks nothing of insulting and harassing Austin for his sexuality but Tony isn’t about to accept Vernon’s attitude or his abuse toward Austin and he has the perfect ammo to put his new lover’s father in his place.
Carol Lynne’s FEELS SO RIGHT is a surprisingly fun story which I adored.
I found great enjoyment in Tony’s protectiveness toward Austin and the fact that he wouldn’t allow Vernon’s nasty insults to continue.
As a reader I couldn’t help but feel bad for Austin because of the way his father treats him and then I was able to smile over his newfound relationship with Tony and how for the first time in a long time he’s able to feel a sense of belonging.
This is a powerful story on many levels and a wonderful addition to Ellora’s Cave’s Naughty Nuptials series.
