Her boss, Howie Jerkowitz, appropriately nicknamed 'The Jerk' insists that the demographics call for a co-anchor, particularly a male. So in spite of her temper tantrums, Tess gets a co-anchor, and what a co-anchor he is, a gorgeous Yankee who is too handsome for his own good. He immediately gets her pulse racing and her heart pounding, which for Tess is not a good thing. She prides herself on her calm, cool, and collected demeanor. So her revenge for the way that he makes her feel is to get back at him, on the air. She won't let any man get the best of her, no matter who he is. She'll teach him a lesson he'll never forget.
That might be true, but he will teach her a few things she won't forget either, one of them being that there's teasing and there's pleasing. Tess is going to get a lesson in both.
NEWS AT 11 is a feisty tale of a snotty Southern Belle anchorwoman and the devilishly handsome Yankee that teaches her a thing or two. Tess is too haughty for her own good; it is refreshing when Jared takes her down a notch. He is just what she needs to rein in her temper and get her down from her high horse. He is sexy, masculine, and doesn't take anything from Tess, and that is just what she needs. The sparks between them fly, on the air and off. The scenes are steamy and the passion between them is sizzling. Ms. Dixon's story of a snobby Southern girl and her Yankee lover is a treat that indeed teases and pleases.
