Nicholas' NO MATTER WHAT is a steamy, romantic contemporary from one of my favorite authors. Physical therapist, Jaden Monroe, was hired by Adam Steele, billionaire, to help his daughter walk again after losing a leg to cancer. Jaden and Adam had many layers to them and each had had a lack of love in their lives. They were almost always unsure of their feelings for each other no matter how much steam there was between them. Watching one or the other take two or three steps back at times was heart-wrenching especially once we got to know their backgrounds. Emily was a sweetheart but had her own agenda of how she wanted things done related to her therapy but also who and when she would reveal her successes too. Adam was more down to earth than I would have expected. Adam's brother Tony was not at all what he was portrayed as but he also wanted the big reveal of what he'd been up to done in his own way when he was ready. There were friends, family, romance and love, lots of therapy, fear, sadness, laughter, happiness, success and a nice happily ever after in an unexpected way. There was closure but there were some loose ends hanging which I hope will get addressed in book two of this series.
I have now read several series by Nicholas and I'm looking forward to reading so many more including books two and three in the BILLIONAIRE BARGAINS SERIES - WHAT MATTERS MOST and ALL THAT MATTERS, respectively.
