NO ACCOUNTING FOR COWBOYS (THE GRADY LEGACY BOOK 2) is a western romance with cowboys and musicians, a ranch, family secrets, disagreements, romance and love that pulled at my heartstrings from the first page to the last.

Braemel 's NO ACCOUNTING FOR COWBOYS was an emotional read that kept me turning the pages to see what would happen next and I ended up staying up way past my bedtime even though I had to go to work in less than six hours by the time I closed my Nook!  The ranch, Bull's Hollow, had a major role in the story line but so did Jake and his band.  Watching the band try to make it in the music industry with all its ups and downs was heart wrenching at times and showed me the inner workings of what a band has to do to try and make it big.  Paige, as an accountant, was the voice of reason when things seemed to spiral out of control in Jake's life and also when the band members were trying to decide if they should sign a record deal.  How she could be as calm and caring as she is when she had a miserable childhood that hasn't improved much into adulthood thanks to dear old mom and dad was astounding.  I couldn't help but root for her to get her brass ring. The dynamics between the three "Grady" brothers was different from one day to the next.  It was oftentimes hard to see them try to work through their differences and problems when another one always seemed to arise. Mom Cissy had her own demons she had to live with and she wasn't always sweet as apple pie. There were tears, laughter, heartache, sadness, happiness, euphoria, highs and lows throughout. There was a happily ever after that left the door open for more.

Braemel is a new to me author and I will go back and read book one in the series so I can get the back story.  I hope there are more books in the series since this book ended too abruptly for me even though most loose ends were tied up and there was closure but I feel that there is much more story to tell.
