Father Weston Scott and Mark Goudy have been friend since they were boys. While Weston went into the priesthood and stayed in the small English village they both grew up in, Mark went away to the big city of
Years later over a few pints at the local pub the two best friends reminisce about life and the need for companionship and love. Weston wears an emerald ring as a constant reminder, not only to guard his heart, but to also guard his secret from Mark. However when they move the night along from the pub to Weston’s simple abode, little did Weston know that Marks has his own secret, and on this visit home he’s determined to reveal all.
Jamie Craig once again hits you with a story that aims straight for the heart. Weston and Mark have been through, seen and done a lot over the years, yet there is that one secret they have never told each other. Both have dealt with their feelings for each other in different ways, Mark going into the big city to lose himself in the hustle and bustle of city life, while Weston went on to the priesthood to find some explanation for the way he feels about Mark.
Mark and Weston are both likeable characters, they are easygoing enough to have a laugh with the lads, sensitive enough to be a friend when a friend is what the other needs and determine enough to know that they can have their cake and eat it too – if they can only get past small town perception of what two men should be.
NO FEAR IN LOVE is a thoughtful read. Leaving you with a smile on your face, to know that all things are possible given time.
