Notting Hill is one of the most exclusive and eclectic areas in
London where Mimi and her family live.   It’s home and if nothing else, a status symbol.   After all, selling is almost unheard of.   When a new billionaire decides to take residence in her little community, Mimi finds herself wondering if money and happiness go hand and hand.   But will she be too star struck to see what is happening right under her own nose?

NOTTING HELL is one of those books where the saying “with friends like these, who needs enemies” is definitely true.   Along with her best pal and neighbor, Clare, Mimi tries to dig up dirt and gossip about everyone in their little enclave.   Yet both have their own little problems.   Mimi is finding herself more and more attracted to Si Kasparian, the newest addition to their neighborhood, while Clare is desperate to get pregnant.    Despite their problems, they are both trying to keep up appearances.   It takes several life defining moments for each woman before they make a change.   I felt that Mimi learned what was important and had several revelations that surprised even her!   For Clare, it seemed a bit more ambiguous.   She seems happy but it was difficult to see whether it was genuine or manufactured.   However, I can say that each woman got what she deserved.   NOTTING HELL is a witty and sharp novel that makes the Desperate Housewives look like schoolgirls.
