Despite Matt’s insistence that a future for them as a couple is never going to happen he doesn’t intend to leave Kate as unsettled as she is now. She’s uncomfortable with her own submissive nature and he believes he can help her embrace it. Matt’s willing to put his own desires aside and embark on an intense training program for Kate. He’ll train her on the fine points of being submissive. That way she’ll feel more secure when the right Dom for her comes along. Unfortunately, Matt doesn’t take into consideration his own intense desires for her or how ‘training’ her is going to affect him.
While Matt believes he’s doing the right thing by training Kate for a future Dom, she’s taken it into her head that Matt’s intentions are really to train her so their relationship could work. Kate just wants to be with him so if he has to lie to himself about the reasons for training her then so be it. What will happen when the week of training is up? Can Kate walk away with her heart intact? What about their business relationship – can she really handle having him as a business partner?
THE ARRANGEMENT is the fourth title in Opal Carew’s HIS TO COMMAND serial novel. Up until this story the reader gained a lot of insight into the troublesome past between Kate and Matt but not a whole lot of intimacy. Ms. Carew more than makes it up for that while still detailing plenty of emotionally charged moments that keep the story hopping and readers crossing their fingers – and legs - dreaming of a ‘happily-ever-after’ for this couple. One of the things I particularly enjoyed about this story is the great insight you get into what Matt is thinking. His actions seem so out of place with his feelings it’s interesting trying to figure him out.
HIS TO COMMAND is a series of stories that build on each other so for your convenience, here’s a list of the titles in order:
