Rainie is all set to walk down the aisle and marry her husband-to-be Stuart. Only one small thing is standing in her way. A wild weekend of uninhibited sex with a stranger where she can make all of her fantasies come true. Her relationship with Stuart is totally conventional, the sex is conventional, their lives together are conventional…seems they’re slipping into a very boring life. Rainie is honest with Stuart when she tells him she just needs to sow some wild outs, get it out of her system so they can spend their lives together. Going away to a beach for the weekend is going to be the best thing Rainie ever did.

Joe is the man Rainie meets on the beach. When Joe walks up, he steals her breath away. Golden hair, sexy body, witty personality and a quirky grin that will melt hearts. This is definitely the man that Rainie wants to spend her erotic weekend with. Joe is all for it, who’s he to turn down such a luscious woman? Things get very spicy in the bedroom and too soon their weekend is over. Will Rainie and Joe discover that they’re much more than just two strangers brought together on a whim? Or will both of them walk away and go back to their conservative lives?

ONCE UPON A WEDDING is sexy, potent, erotic and has a killer twist at the end. Rainie is sweet, compassionate and eager to give her man the life he wants, even if it means giving up her own wants and needs. All of this completely endeared me to Rainie. Although in the beginning I felt Rainie chose this man to be with, good or bad, she should just get past it, reader's won’t have those feelings with Rainie. Quite the opposite, they’ll love her even more for what she’s doing. Joe is every woman’s dream man. He’s sexy, buff, great looking and rocks in bed. As soon as these two characters met, I wanted them together. I thought for sure, Rainie would dump Stuart. I just knew her and Joe were meant to be together. Desiree Holt had something else in mind when she wrote this story; she added a phenomenal twist at the end. I couldn’t put ONCE UPON A WEDDDING down; it was so powerful and erotic. The sex scenes between Rainie and Joe were enough to leave me hot and bothered every time I thought of this book. This is the first Desiree Holt book I’ve ever read and I have to say, she’s just garnered herself a huge fan. I’m definitely going to look into all of her books now.
