Troy Headley is a high school teacher and a weekend adventurist. Troy is trying to get over losing the woman he thought he would marry, so he is not in the market for a new relationship. He just wants a friend to have some fun with, and decides his friend Grace works too hard, so he talks her into going on one of his adventures. At first just having fun together, then taking it to the next level as lovers, is a first for Grace. She never had the time or the know how to do anything but train. Being a twenty-eight-year-old virgin is hard to explain without giving away all her secrets.
As time goes by and Grace and Troy find themselves in a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship, Grace has to decide how much she wants to tell of her past. When the choice is taken away from her by circumstances beyond her control, Grace’s new life, the way she wants it, becomes a nightmare when her past catches up with her. Trying to deal with her old life and keep her new life open to her is a very compelling story in itself.
This book is one of life choices, heartbreak and family disputes. Robyn Carr is good at bringing out all the skeletons in the proverbial closet and making peace where it is warranted. If you are a Robyn Carr fan, as I am, then you will enjoy this story of life changes, family relations, plus romance to keep it all interesting. This story will make you laugh and cry at different intervals. I give this book 4 Blue Ribbons at Romance Junkies website.
