Natalie Compton's marriage came to a shocking end two years ago when she discovered that her husband was having an affair with a much younger and slimmer woman.  At the ripe age of forty-three, Natalie finds herself working hard to make a new life with her very angry teenage son, who to this very day blames her for the divorce.

Deciding to reward herself after all the bad that has happened the past two years, Natalie joins her friend, Carla, and two dozen other travelers on a college-sponsored trip to Italy.  Her dreams are finally being fulfilled as she takes in some of the most romantic sites on earth.  When Natalie's eyes fall upon gorgeous hunk Giovanni "Gio" Ragazzo, her heart goes aflutter.  She can't believe this thirty-five year Italian is interested in a woman like her. She is much older and a lot chunkier than the women he is probably used to being with.

Natalie soon forgets about those insecurities of hers as Gio shows her just how beautiful and desirable she really is to him.  Their lovemaking is explosive!   Will Natalie be able to leave this sexy man and the dreams they created when it is time to go back home?  Can a man that has secrets of his own ever truly love a woman like her?

ONE ITALIAN SUMMER is an exciting and tantalizing tale of love found between two mismatched souls as together they explore Italy's beauty and ambiance.  My heart melted as Gio showed Natalie that perfection is in the eye of the beholder when it comes to true love.  Janet Mill's descriptions of Italy and it's history during Natalie and Gio's travels were so real; I felt as if I were there myself.
