Meredith Stanford Chilton has always been the good girl, behaving exactly as her family expected; all that is about to change. Ambushed in an emergency board meeting of her family run company, Meredith is told that she is expected to marry a complete stranger for the good of the company. Fleeing to her beloved bohemian grandmother, Meredith struggles with feelings of betrayal and hopelessness. That is until her attention is caught by the gorgeous stranger standing in the kitchen holding a wrench.

Suddenly, Meredith has more to worry about than her family's plans. Trapped alone in the house with this stranger during a vicious storm, she is confronted with feelings that have less to do with hopelessness and more to do with lust, lots and lots of lust. Before she leaves, Meredith finds herself behaving completely out of character, engaging in sexual play that shocks her to the core. Can she accept this new side to herself before she makes a huge mistake? And who is the mysterious stranger?

OVER THE RIVER AND THROUGH THE WOODS is a fantastic quick read, which you will wish was a full length novel. Meredith is a great character as she struggles to understand herself and accept who she is, without the influence of her family. The hunky stranger is a fun, sexy character that will make any reader long for one of their own. This is a wonderful story that will leave you smiling.
