Logan McCrae is the police chief of Blueberry Cove, Maine, and owner of the lighthouse and cottage. Logan is not sure about renovating the lighthouse, just the cottage. His great-uncle Fergus is the only family Logan has left and has different thoughts about the lighthouse and who he wants to do the job.
When Alex appears at Logan’s house and literally passes out in his arms, things don’t look promising for Alex’s new job. Logan isn’t sure about hiring a woman for the job, but after learning Alex’s devastating story, he realizes that she needs the job at this time in her life.
With Alex and Logan in a business relationship, the sparks that fly between them are not lost on themselves or the town gossips. Knowing Alex plans on leaving town after the job is done helps keep Logan at a distance.
Logan has grown-up in Blueberry Cove and can’t see ever leaving town for any reason. When his uncle Gus instills some words of wisdom to Logan and Alex’s new friends try to help her with her feelings, things change for Logan and Alex.
Will Alex decide to settle down in this new town of friends? Will Logan realize that family can be anywhere you are?
PELICAN POINT is a DIY contemporary romance that was a little hard for me to understand in places because of the technical terms on renovating lighthouses. I am sure that anyone who loves lighthouses, and the renovations there of, will really enjoy this book. Throw in a little romance to juice up the story, a mysterious antiques shop, plus its proprietor, and we have a winner. I think that THE BACHELORS OF BLUEBERRY COVE series will be a fun trip around this small town and its interesting residents. I will be looking forward to the next book in this series.
