Veronica Jinkowsky, known as Ronnie, and Jake Jenson, were married and divorced four times.  Yes, you read that right.  Married to and divorced four times from each other, four different kinds of marriages.  Jake was a professional poker player and traveled quite often.  Ronnie was a corporate lawyer and had been given Jinx, Inc. (a treasure-hunting company), the boat, the warehouse, a house, and personal items by her grandfather, Frank Jinkowsky.  Frank had previously recovered a solid gold toilet and now is looking for pink diamonds. Needless to say, Ronnie is not pleased.  She does not want to become a treasure hunter.  Ronnie wants Jake’s help to talk with her grandfather, Frank, but she did not know that Jake was vested in Jinx, Inc. and Jake was also now engaged to be married.

Will Jake help her?  Is his fiancée understanding of his relationship with Ronnie?  Did Ronnie know that Jake has lent her grandfather money?  Is Frank really broke?  Can he really give everything to Ronnie? Would she be responsible for Frank’s debts?

There were quite a few secondary characters whom I hope to see again; Mama Rosa and her two sons, Anthony and Stefano, Grandpa Frank and his woman, Flossie and, of course, Tante Lulu and Tee-John.

This book was especially wonderful for me as I’m from Wildwood, N.J. and worked at the U.S. Coast Guard in Cape May for over twenty years, so seeing very familiar town names in this book was interesting.

PINK JINX was absolutely exciting and funny. I read it in one night, as I wanted to see what happened. Any book that can make me laugh out loud is great. I look forward to reading about the ex-Amish, ex-Navy SEAL Caleb Peachey in PEARL JINX which unfortunately won’t be out until July 2007.

ROUGH AND READY will be out in December, 2006.  This is another delicious, Viking Navy SEAL book. Sandra Hill is right up there in my top ten favorite authors.  Her books are laugh-out-loud funny but have enough sex appeal to keep you interested.   Thanks, Sandra Hill!
