fan girls are showing up at Vanessa's house, wanting to meet Reed.
Vanessa's best friend is excited to meet the new star, and to top it
all off, there's a new girl at school who becomes a rival for Vanessa's
academic standing. Vanessa can't help wondering, what happened to her
carefully plotted school year?
B is an exciting and heart-wrenching look at the curveballs life throws
out. Vanessa is your average teen who is quite content in her normal
life. Suddenly knowing she has a brother, a famous brother, creates all
sorts of problems she didn't anticipate, but which she learns to handle
with aplomb and grace. I liked how Jenny O'Connell didn't leave out the
typical teenage stuff: whining, complaining, and hating one's parents,
but she also highlighted the good things about adolescences, being able
to experience new things, making new friends, and having new crushes. A
healthy mix of reality and fantasy play out in PLAN B, making it a book
you can't put down. It may be a teenager's drama, but there is truly
something for every reader in this sweetly agonizing teen drama.
