Lizzie just moved to New York City from Ann Arbor to begin a new life as a wedding gown specialist, repairing and remodeling old vintage gowns. It is Lizzies dream to someday own her own shop and do all of it herself. However, owning her own shop isnt Lizzies only dream. She also dreams of marrying Luke, the man shes been dating and living with for a few months. Things are going so well, shes found a job as a receptionist, that pays, so she can chip in at home each month and shes found a job at a bridal shop that doesnt pay, so she can prove what she can do and learn the ropes. Just when Lizzie thinks things cant get any better, its nearing Christmas and shes sure Luke is going to propose.

Luke is a pre-med student whos been looking to have some fun. He doesnt know where his future is leading him. He only sees one day at a time. Sure, hes proud of all that Lizzie is doing, and he loves living with her, but is he really ready to settle down and commit himself to one person for the rest of his life? Will he make an exception for Lizzie when hes faced with the choice of losing her forever?

Strap yourself in for a roller-coaster ride of ups and downs in QUEEN OF BABBLE IN THE BIG CITY by Meg Cabot. What an absolutely phenomenal book. I couldnt put it down. I stayed up all night waiting to see what was going to happen next in Lizzies life. Lizzie was the most endearing and funny character Ive had the pleasure to read in a long time. She never let anything get her down. Yeah, she tried too hard sometimes, but thats just her. That made the story even more fun to read. You cant help but fall a little in love with Lizzie yourself or at least want to be like her at the end of the story. Luke, on the other hand, is like a lot of men, not sure whether he wants to run around or settle down. He was so unsure of himself and his love for Lizzie. However, because of Lukes faults, it made the story and the characters more real to me. If youre looking for a fun, fast-paced, hilarious story of life and love, QUEEN OF BABBLE IN THE BIG CITY is a definite must read for you. I guarantee you wont be able to put the book down.
