Monroe's REALITY HERO was a quick read once I got the gist of the storyline and that the author was going back and forth in time. The characters' thoughts that could be heard and their memories of childhood added other dimensions to the storytelling but were often confusing to follow. There were several stories going on at the same time but tied up nicely at the end. There was darkness throughout that at times had my skin crawling. The closeness of Zane/Mind Man, Dina, Ella/Rain, Bridget/Stunner and Aaron/Helium was shown throughout even with the death of Aaron. Ian/Electricity was the bad seed and no amount of help could redeem him. There were several happily ever afters that gave closure but an epilogue would have been nice. The cover fit the book nicely.
I'm not sure whether or not I would give other books by this author a try since most have a fantasy, science fiction or paranormal bent.
