Dan has always loved his best friend Mike.  Even as boys.  As they grew older, Dan’s love turned into so much more.  Knowing that Mike would never feel the same way, Dan resigned himself to loving and desiring Mike from afar until one glorious week while Mike was in college; a week that exceeded all of Dan’s expectations and caused him the greatest heartbreak of his entire life.

Years later, Dan is once again asked by Mike to spend time with him.  Dan throws caution to the wind and accepts Mike’s offer.  Will time have healed all wounds or will Mike again break Dan’s heart with his inability to accept their love?

RED HEART BOWL by Bobby Michaels made me cry.  It literally made me weep from the pain and raw emotions emanating from Dan’s character.  Anyone who has ever loved and lost will be able to relate to RED HEART BOWL.  To be honest, I tried twice to finish this novel without tearing up, but because of the emotional intensity, I found it impossible to hold back my tears.  The poignancy of Dan’s feelings left me feeling twisted inside out and I wouldn’t have missed it for anything!  This one is a tear-jerker and I cherished every word.  I am officially a Bobby Michaels fan and look forward to reading more from this new author.
