After losing her father Hayley Phillips finds herself alone and pregnant.  Hoping to change the path her life has taken, Hayley goes to Memphis.  Taking a chance on a small family connection, Hayley approaches her cousin Roz.  She doesn't expect anything to be handed to her but would like to work with Roz at the, In The Garden Nursery.

Roz not only gives Hayley a job; but also a home and a family.  A home that is filled with love and laughter, giving Hayley a family and close friends whom she can count on.  After the arrival of ther daughter Lily, the Bride makes another appearance.  She sings to Lily and rocks by her crib.  Just the sound of her voice is soothing yet also frightening for the adults.  Hayley knows that no harm will come to Lily by the Bride; but can't help be uneasy with the situation.

In RED LILY, Nora Roberts, gives us a closer look into the relationship of Hayley and Harper, Roz's son.  Feelings both have been ignoring for a long time begin to rise to the surface bringing with them the Brides anger.  For her Harper represents the man she once trusted, the man who betrayed her in the worst possible way.
