Former race car driver Adam Richards might have won the Daytona 500 once, but Dale Earnhardt’s untimely death served as a wakeup call.  There’s no doubt Adam loves pushing the red line in racing as well as in his personal life, but racing is in his past.  He now has a partnership in a racing garage and loves working on the cars, but this is no ordinary garage.  Sure, he does tune ups and repairs motors, but it’s also a cover for an entirely different operation – and Maggie’s presence back in town threaten not only his secrets but his willpower.

Maggie Parker thought she was protecting her heart when she snuck out in the middle of the night, leaving Adam a good-bye note on the bathroom mirror, and moved to Chicago for a journalist job.  If it wasn’t for her sister’s husband’s abandonment and an emergency C-section Maggie wouldn’t be spending an extended amount of time in town – and might not have even crossed paths with Adam.  The last thing she expects is for him to seek her out – and his suggestion that they continue where they left off until he can get her out of his system is one offer she can’t refuse.

Aside from taking care of Annie for the next six weeks Maggie has a job to do – and it involves uncovering the real reason why Adam quit NASCAR for an article.  He’s too much of an adrenaline junkie for his story of self-preservation to ring true.  However, whatever he’s hiding can’t possibly be half as interesting as the rush she feels whenever she’s with him.  Exposing his secrets would be a betrayal – and she’s discovering that hurting him is the last thing she wants to do.

REDLINE LOVER is an adrenaline fueled read right from the start.  It goes from 0 to 60 in less than three pages and keeps the reader riding that redline right through to the end.  Adam and Maggie have a complicated history and don’t entirely trust that they aren’t going to get their hearts broken again, but they’re drawn together over and over and are only lying to themselves when they say it’s just for sex.  Charlene Teglia packs this story full of emotionally charged situations, scorching sex and plenty of car speak to make even the most anti-racing fanatic wonder more about embracing that redline.

Ms. Teglia’s TAKE ME, LOVER series consists of four titles – and each one only wets your appetite for the next one so you might as well pick up copies of them all now.
