Merrill Davis-Ross was desperate to get away from her high profile life and the paparazzi that were constantly after her. Being a high fashion model and growing up in a very rich family she should be used to having her entire life public knowledge but lately the paparazzi have been relentless in their pursuits. Merrill had agreed to help a friend out by pretending to be engaged to him but when he was seen leaving his lover's apartment his secret was out and he left Merrill to take the heat. Trying to escape from a world that she no longer wanted to live in she became Merri Davis, moved to a small town called Stanville, Texas and took a job as a fund-raising assistant for the very wealthy Tyson Steele.
Tyson had been trying to find an assistant for his fund raisers for months. When his lawyer Frank told him he hired Merri, Tyson was a little slow in trusting her; after having his heart broken by a woman's lies before. It didn't take Ty long to discover how perfect Merri was for the job and how well she interacted with the orphans at The Lost Children's Foundation. Ty also discovered how much he loved being with Merri and realized he really wanted to have a permanent relationship with her. Just when Ty thought all his dreams were coming true, his worst nightmare begins.
REFLECTED PLEASURES is the second book in The Gypsy Inheritance Trilogy by Linda Conrad. From beginning to end I was totally caught up in the lives of Ty and Merri. I read this entire book in one sitting and I am already ready to read it again, it was that good. Linda Conrad is such a talented author that it is no surprise that she has written another wonderful book that pulls at the heart string and leaves the reader feeling totally satisfied.
