In spite of her zany childhood   - first half with her parents on a hippy commune in Montana, second half with her chic but oh-so-cool grandmother on the beautiful and affluent island of Coronado - Mona Warren now leads one of the dullest, most predicable lives in all of Southern California. But all that is about to change, she is about to make some pretty huge changes to her miserable existence. Who says you can't go after what you want? Who says you can't change who you are to get it? What Mona wants is Adam Ziegler, her late grandmother's dependable and solid accountant, and not just for coffee and casual banter, but for the happily ever after! And what she is going to change to get him is herself. She is on a mission and she is calling it - Reinventing Mona!

Who better to coach a woman on how to be a man's perfect woman, than Mike Dougherty or as he calls himself in his weekly column in the magazine, Maximum for Him, "the Dog." He can be crass, offending and extremely arrogant, but maybe he really knows what he is talking about. Of course, Mona takes things into her own hands along with the sage advice from "the Dog," which leads her into more trouble than she bargained for. She knows deep down that becoming Mrs. Adam Ziegler is the best thing that could ever happen for her, so why is she finding herself fantasizing about the love 'em and leave 'em Mike?

REINVENTING MONA by the incredibly talented Jennifer Coburn is absolutely hilarious! I love Mona!! She along with the other strong characters in this novel, show us what real women are all about, and at the end of the day, what is really important. I strongly encourage everyone to read this well-written, witty and enchanting novel.
