Clare's ROMANCING THE BILLIONAIRE has a lot of burn up the sheets moments and throughout is woven the history of Jonathan and Violet's relationship from ten years before. While he's a billionaire playboy he pays for one night stands and doesn't have relationships since Violet broke his heart and is the only girl/woman he's ever loved. Violet meanwhile became a schoolteacher in Detroit. Violet does not want to go back in time nor rehash what they had and lost but she and Jonathan have to work together to go on a scavenger hunt since her father left clues for them upon his death. The story goes from Detroit to New York to New Mexico, London and Greece and back to the United States. During that time Jonathan and Violet do a lot of loving but she's still holding herself apart since she feels she's never been loved. Watching them work together showed us their personalities and dynamics and we got to see the world through their eyes. There were family, friends, meetings, travels, heartache, sadness, big time drunkenness, loss, tears, happiness, laughter, lots and lots of loving, romance and love. There was closure as Violet gets answers as they follow the clues which gives her a change of heart. There is also a happily ever after in the offing and the epilogue is a nice touch. There are clues to Cade's story to come in the next book which I look forward to. My one disappointment is the Brotherhood had only a small part in this book with the exception of Cade who came to Violet when she needed his help with Jonathan.
This is the fifth book in the BILLIONAIRE BOYS CLUB SERIES and I look forward to reading books two, three and four, BEAUTY AND THE BILLIONAIRE, THE WRONG BILLIONAIRE'S BED and ONCE UPON A BILLIONAIRE respectively. Book six, ONE NIGHT WITH A BILLIONAIRE isn't due out until June. I've already read book one in the series, STRANDED WITH A BILLIONAIRE. I look forward to reading all the books in this series as well as other books she's written.
