Julie Burns is a successful entertainment lawyer living the good life in Los Angeles. She's got her best girlfriends, her Tickle Me Elmo, and a promising career. What she doesn't have however is a man to come home to at night. After being dumped by her ex-boyfriend, Julie never quite got around to reentering the social scene again. Now with the pressure on from her mom, and gasp, even her friends, Julie is determined to play the field. In her mind, finding a match is all a game of numbers, so Julie sets out to meet and greet as many men as she can until she finds "The One."

There's Joe, the bartender and the "wannabe," a man Julie is interested in, but determined to be just friends with because he wants to be an actor. There's Steve, a fellow lawyer, and then there are all the men Just A Date, a matchmaking service, sets her up with as potential mates. Unfortunately, Julie just can't seem to make a match no matter what she tries, or whom she dates. Is the right guy hiding under her nose, or does Julie have more work ahead of her?
