Harper Summerville has spent her life traveling, working for the charity that her family supports.  She really has no desire to settle down and live in one particular place.  But when Harper lands in Razor Bay, Washington, she is taken with the beautiful scenery, and she starts to form friendships with the town folk that she just might not want to walk away from.

Max Bradshaw is the brooding town sheriff.  Max has had a rough upbringing and he wears his scars for the world to see.  He doesn’t usually allow anyone to get too close to him, but Harper seems to have a way with breaking down his walls.  Max wants the white picket fence with the wife and kids to go with it.  He is certain that Harper is the one for him, but can he convince her to stay in Razor Bay when a misunderstanding threatens to tear them apart?

Harper is a confident, take charge kind of woman.  She doesn’t just stand around waiting for love to find her; she goes after what she wants in life.  I loved her attitude and her spunk.

Max doesn’t smile very often, but when he does, his face lights up.  Underneath his quiet exterior lies a very passionate, loving man.  It is fun to watch Harper bring Max to life.

I really enjoyed SOME LIKE IT HOT a lot.  I love Susan Andersen’s rich and unique voice.  She has a witty and warm writing style that lights up the pages.  Her characters are unique and realistic plus the banter between them is lively and entertaining.  For an all around great romance, give SOME LIKE IT HOT a try!
