Rick Hastings lives his life as he chooses, never caring what others think of him. His resort is popular and caters to the desires of it guests above all else. When he starts receiving threats and violence begins to take place on the tranquil island, his friends and colleagues decide he needs a little protection.

Enter Lilah Tanner; she's a spitfire and a woman who just needs a break. So when she's asked to go to a tropical island and baby-sit its owner while others seek out his stalker she can't refuse. Some sun sand and surf are just what she needs to unwind. She just never expected to fall for Rick— or Trevor.

Recuperating from a gunshot wound Trevor Reaper decides that taking a job protecting Rick should be an easy enough assignment. He can relax some and make sure that Rick stays put till the threat to him is removed. But soon he finds himself attracted to Lilah and Rick.

Can these three lost souls find love and happiness together or will an unknown danger tear apart this trio before they get the chance?

SATYR'S MYST is an erotically charged novella that is complex and full of extreme emotions. It was easy to like all three characters from the very beginning. Their struggles to accept the socially unacceptable are believable and never came across as gratuitous. Any time an author introduces a ménage the risk is there that it will come across as sex for the sake of sex. Ms. Harte blended this taboo with a story of blossoming love that is real and strong.

Rick and Trevor each possess that Alpha male quality that I love in my heroes. At times Trevor, who had never experienced a M/M interaction, did defer to Rick for guidance but he never lost that dominate air about him. Together they are practically the perfect man. Each brought compassion and an innate sexuality to the relationship with Lilah and while either would be great for her, getting them both is perfect for her.

Lilah on the other hand is very much like every woman I have ever known, she has insecurities when it comes to her appearance but she is still beautiful inside and out. Her willingness to take a risk and embrace the forbidden was daring and had me envious of her by the end of SATYR'S MYST.

Ms. Harte has delivered a scorching tale that is equal parts passionate sex and tender romance. Well-balanced and cleverly written SATYR'S MYST is a joy to read from the first page to the very last word.
