Hannah McCrae is coming home for her big brother Police Chief Logan McCrae's wedding. In truth, she has come home to stay but no one needs to know about her troubles until after the wedding. Hannah left the Cove to be a big time lawyer in D.C., but things have gone south and she has come home to heal. When Hannah runs a stop sign that wasn't there the last time she was home and misses broadsiding a pickup, then goes in the ditch and hits a sign, she meets Calder Blue who was driving the truck, and the man who comes to her rescue.

Calder Blue is from the St. Croix River Blues so he has never been to the Cove, where the other side of the family live. They have been feuding with his side of the family for decades. Calder is a contractor and was asked to come to the Cove to talk to the man who wants to build a Yacht Club there. Calder finds himself drawn to Hannah and when things start happening that implicate Calder in arson, he decides to enlist Hannah's help as his lawyer.

Hannah has sworn off men until she can get her life back in order but there is something about Calder that excites her. They are working together to find the arsonist so they can clear Calder's name and they get to know each other better.

I am happy to be back in Blueberry Cove where the community pulls together to help each other and the atmosphere is just slow and easy in this lovely little town. I started reading Donna Kauffman's books with her first series in Blueberry Cove and I am glad to be back for this series. Having lived in a tiny town in the Midwest, originally, I can relate to the nosy townsfolk and laugh at all the antics that occur. Small town America is somewhere I want to go to as often as possible, even if just in a book. I give 5 Blue Ribbons on Romance Junkies' website because of all the love and the feeling of returning home SEA GLASS SUNRISE portrays. I recommend this novel to anyone who likes feel good books set in a coastal setting and in a small town. You will feel the love as soon as you read the first page.
