Second Chance

Anderson is a widower with two grown daughters.  His wife has been dead for over a year and while he dates Fiona Monaghan and puts up with her snoring dog, his daughters are in college and when they come home, he feels the daughters will LOVE Fiona as he does. Boy, is he in for a rude awakening. When they meet Fiona , they (including the housekeeper and the dog) are horrible to her.  But she takes it in stride. She has fallen in love with John and feels that nobody's gonna stop the two of them from getting married.

Fiona and John get married but it is short lived. Two head strong people with opposite goals. Some of the mix-ups are funny to me and most are sad.  I find it hard to believe that you let your grown children ruin your chance at happiness. From the title you can tell that they will get a second chance at love. All of us look for another chance to do something over.

After the divorce, Fiona moves to Paris and decides to write a book that mirrors her life. By chance, there she meets John again and he is willing to live and work in Paris. I am really happy that things seem to work out this time for them. This had me crying.

Danielle Steel has another hit on her hands.  I had not read Ms. Steel in a long time. SECOND CHANCE has made me read her again, and I look forward to reading her next project.
