Coco seems to have a life others would envy. She has a new career of her own as a columnist for the "Seaport Gazette". Her new husband is handsome, kind and wealthy, but is a lackluster lover.

When Coco attends a Chaine des Rotisseurs banquet, she meets Harry Troutman,a fascinating man who is both a plastic surgeon and a serious goumet. Coco realizes Harry is a man who could match her appetite for good food and sexual adventure. There is one huge problem: Harry is very married to Eclaire, who is a slim, perfect product of his surgeon skills and regular spa visits.  Coco and Harry seem to throw all caution to the wind as they get caught in a maze of passion and intrigue.

Coco is an intriguing heroine. With the emphasis on infidelity, this debut novel is not the stuff of typical romance , but it works well and has truly laugh out loud moments as Coco shows her inner self and embarrassing details. Parker has a hidden side, too. He is not just the cuckolded husband. Eclaire is the epitome of how the media forces a woman with the resources to feel like they are never perfect enough. Harry is an alpha male who is charming in his own way and seems to savor imperfections, even though his livelihood is correctiong them.

This tantalizing tale has plenty of spicy love scenes. There is a clever use of quotes at the beginning of each chapter, which fit perfectly. The zippy dialog and perfect pacing are sure to charm the most discriminating romance reader. I look forward to the author's next book, OUTRAGEOUSLY BLONDE.
