Zach Taunton is relatively new to Crawford Constructs and he’s doing his best to deliver the sort of results the stuffed shirts upstairs want. However at the same time he’s running his staff ragged and coming off as a tyrant. The only thing that’s making this job tolerable for him is the knowledge that Eliza will be at the office each day.
It’s been another dreadful day that’s only served to reinforce Eliza’s decision to tender her resignation. All she really wants is to go home slip into her favorite bunny slippers and watch old movies while eating ice cream. Her friend Margo convinces her to go her normal evening ritual and attend one of her special mixers. Margo’s parties are well known as a way to meet attractive singles and engage in sexual games if you so desire. Eliza doesn’t really have time for this sort of thing but there’s no getting around a determined Margo. What she doesn’t realize is that Margo is aware of Eliza’s attraction to her boss and has invited him as well. In fact she takes great strides to keep Eliza from learning that Zach is attending her little party and doesn’t feel a moment’s guilt when she declares that it’s time to play Seven Minutes in Heaven just before shoving Eliza into a dark room with a stranger with the instructions that there is to be no talking. Everything about the stranger, from his scent to his beard stubble, reminds her of Zach which only heightens the experience. How will Eliza react when she learns that the man who’s caused her so many sleepless nights has just thoroughly seduced her without ever saying a single word?
Afton Locke’s SEVEN MINUTES OF SEDUCTION is a fast paced story that will thrill readers with its high energy and overt sexual scenes. There’s chemistry between Eliza and Zach that positively sizzles whether at the office or the mixer. I love the idea of taking a teen ‘game’ and putting a very adult spin on it. It gives you an unexpected jolt of excitement especially when you realize that Eliza has no idea who’s in the closet with her. While there’s no doubt the sexual chemistry between Eliza and Zach is off the charts there’s the little issue of Zach’s outlandish work demands and any relationship between them might hinge on his willingness to view the office through her eyes – and vice versa. This is the first title by Ms. Locke that I’ve read but it certainly won’t be my last.
