Sabina Jones is all alone on the Thanksgiving holiday, but that is nothing new. She has not seen or heard from her mother in over a decade, a fact that only serves to depress her. In order to lighten her mood, she cranks up the music in her car. Only problem is that the guy next to her, on his cell phone, keeps hollering and gesturing for her to turn it down. That only angers Sabina, and so she finds herself turning it up louder just to irritate him. He runs a red light to get away from her, and Sabina thinks that is the last she will see of him.

Imagine her shock when she runs into him in the lobby of the motel she is staying in. He introduces himself as Rock and invites her to dinner. Things are actually going really well between them, but when the sparks start flying, Sabina panics and runs away. Sabina tries to forget Rock, but it becomes increasingly difficult when she returns to work at the San Gabriel fire station and there he is again. It seems his name is not Rock, but actually Rick Roman, and he is going to be her acting Chief for a while. How will she ever survive facing him on a day-to-day basis?!

Jennifer Bernard is an incredibly smart author. She puts two things into her novels that women absolutely cannot resist, hot firemen and romance. Ms. Bernard's BACHELOR FIREMEN OF SAN GABRIEL series has been a hit for me since book one, THE FIREMAN WHO LOVED ME. I read through it in no time and dashed right out for book two, HOT FOR FIREMAN. Her novella, ONE FINE FIREMAN is also extremely delightful. Book three, SEX AND THE SINGLE FIREMAN, is just as lovely. I was hooked from the beginning and I just could not put it down. I cannot wait to read Ms. Bernard's next sexy romance.
