Six years ago, Jacob Eli Jade was running from himself on a cross-country motorcycle trek and ended up in Silvermist, where he meets Nora. He tried to stay away from her, to protect her from the curse he thought he carried, but he couldn't. He developed feelings for Nora and when they got too hard for him to handle, he took off. Now he's back to visit the place he loved, but he is a changed man. He's no longer running, he's here on business - he wants to buy some property near Silvermist. What he didn't expect to find was Nora.
This is a wondrous tale of love lost and the miracle of hopefully finding that love again. There are secrets between these two that they eventually reveal and a lot of pain, and this book takes you through all of it. It's a magical yet real tale of love and hurt, and falling in love again. This couple is very likable. I felt like I knew exactly what they were both feeling and they sucked me into the story completely.
This book is a definite must-read for those who love romance. One of the things I found wonderful about it was the touching quality of the writing. None of the plot seemed contrived, and Nora, Eli, and Nora's son, Jed seemed very real. You feel all the emotions of the characters through this book - you want to laugh, love and cry with them. It's not often that I read a book that truly touches my soul, but this one did and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to everyone.
