Dayne has suffered an embarrassing and painful breakup and she wants a chance to heal. Kason is sexy, seems to be down on his luck, and definitely in need of a friend. Dayne does not want a man in the spotlight again so she is relieved that Kason seems to be a big nobody. But what she does not know may get her hurt once again, especially as these two lonely hearted people start to care for each other and enjoy the moments they spend together.
Kate Angell builds up the heat and the friction in SLIDING HOME. Kason did not expect to start to fall for Dayne. He did not expect to like her, admire her resiliency, or be jealous of his dog’s love for Dayne. In fact, he put no expectations on her because he just wanted her out. Instead, he finds himself falling in love and making a friend. Dayne likes Kason and just wants to help him. She senses he is lonely and is ready to make him laugh and smile. But she does not want a handout. She will work to earn her way in life. Buoyed by the Richmond Rogues and a secondary romance that has plenty of sizzle on its own, SLIDING HOME is seductive and fun. Dayne and Kason are more alike than they would ever like to admit. They have a core of loyalty and honesty inside them that makes their romance powerful and genuine. It was great to also get a chance to revisit previous characters. Kason definitely stands out as a baseball player and a man and he is more than a match for Dayne’s playful personality. SLIDING HOME will capture hearts!
