Pilot Noah Fisher is heading to Mammoth Mountain ski resort for some fun in the snow and perhaps between the sheets. After a brutal plane crash, Noah knows he needs this trip. Unfortunately, all plans fly out the window when he feels the press of a gun on his shoulder and a voice telling him to keep flying. Noah cannot believe he has been hijacked, but perhaps most shocking of all, is the identity of the hijacker.

Desperate, alone and scared out of her wits, Bailey Sinclair is on edge. She needs to get to Mammoth Mountain to see if her recently deceased husband has hidden money there. Only then can she turn it over to the terrible men looking to hurt her. Bailey did not want to draw Noah into her mess but now that he knows she is in trouble, he is not backing down. Noah has always had a crush on the beautiful Mrs. Sinclair and though he is not expecting a love connection to form between them, he will not let Bailey face the thugs alone. With attraction and danger brimming between them, and a race against time and bullets, Bailey and Noah have a rough time ahead of them. Can they come out alive, and perhaps, in love?

Romance does not get better than a Jill Shalvis story. Noah and Bailey bond against a most unsafe backdrop for romance. The pressure is surely on and rising as they try to find where the missing money has been hidden. Danger threatens on many sides as it seems the bad guys are neck in neck with Bailey and Noah on their adventure. It will take some ingenuity to outmaneuver the enemies, but Noah and Bailey are determined to see the situation through in the hopes of perhaps building on their growing attraction. I really enjoyed the suspenseful edge to this story and how as the suspense grows, so does the sensuality emerging between the protagonists. Add in a colorful secondary cast who provides for some tension relief, and SMART AND SEXY aims high and succeeds. I cannot wait to read about the adventures of the other two pilots.
