Kyle is a young thief in service to a powerful crime lord named Quinn. Quinn has some information on Kyle that keeps the younger man in line, and makes him obligated to steal whatever necessary so that he doesn’t get on Quinn’s bad side. However, when Kyle attempts to steal the papers that can give him his freedom, he’s caught by one of Quinn’s other employees, an older man named Seth.

There’s something about Seth that makes Kyle uncomfortable—that makes him feel like he never has about another man. And when Kyle meets with Seth to find out what the older man wants in return for the papers that will give Kyle his life back, he learns that the feeling is mutual. What Seth wants is Kyle: in his bed, in his heart, and in his life. But Kyle is afraid of the way Seth makes him feel, so rather than take the risk that they could be happy together, he takes his freedom and runs with it. But after a few months on his own, Seth is still at the forefront of his mind and one lonely night, Kyle makes the call that will change his future forever.

SNAGGED is a tale of a May/December romance between two men on the wrong side of the law. Kyle is nineteen years old, a thief, and an innocent. He’s never really known any other life than as a criminal, and he’s spent most of his older years in service to Quinn. When Seth gives him a chance at freedom, he jumps at it, even though he knows he could be running away from his only chance at happiness. And Seth is older, more experienced, and not at all what he seems. He’s attracted to Kyle’s innocence, and wants to give the kid a shot at a life away from stealing to get what he wants. But at the same time, he wants to give Kyle a chance at a life where they could be happy together. The sexual tension between these two characters could be cut with a knife, and I found myself rooting for Seth even though I wanted Kyle to have a chance at a normal life. SNAGGED is a great option when you’re in the mood for a compact romance between two heroes who know what they want, and aren’t afraid to go after it.
