Special Agent Grayson Alexander goes undercover as a British actor as a favor. Forced to take his retirement-home-escapee grandmother as his agent and to aid his disguise, Grayson has more than one problem to resolve. Due to Cat's suspected nefarious professional history, Grayson is sent in to prove she's the one trying to kill her sister. It doesn't take long for Grayson to guess Cat has nothing to do with the murder attempts and to fall for her instead.
A cute concept for a story but the actress Chloe kept me wondering why her twin put up with her eccentricities and spoiled attitude. For a supposedly smart woman, Cat seemed led too frequently by her sister's whims. Cat was supposed to be Chloe's bodyguard but Chloe treated her like her servant for every need. I was ready to shake Chloe by the end of the book and I'm surprised Cat was so patient with her. Grayson and his grandmother were funny, often causing Cat more stress in dealing with her sister. There were some other over-the-top secondary characters that added to the mayhem.
I chose this book to review by the cover and because it was a Christmas story. I didn't realize it was the fifth book in a series. I'm sure the fans of this series will enjoy the visit to Christmas, Colorado, but it didn't work as well for me. I seemed to be missing the point with several of the characters and not making the connection. If you love soap operas or comedic murder mysteries then you'll get a kick out of this zany story about twin sisters who are exact opposites.
