SNOWFALL is one hot read with a storyline that grabbed my attention from the beginning. There's a beautiful brave woman who lives in the mountains year round with her alpha dogs and two hot scientists - Jake and Poncho - who take up residence with her to track the cougar population that is getting very aggressive around humans.
Reese's SNOWFALL is a contemporary hot reading novella that had my pulse racing throughout. There was adventure, some scary and tense moments, animals, determination and ultimately friends. There were a few happy and laugh out loud moments along with tears and sorrow. Jake and Ashley had immediate chemistry and they didn't waste any time before acting on it. The vivid descriptions of the snow, the mountains, the tracking, the gear and the animals all made me feel that I was there. There was some closure but not enough and the book seemed to end very abruptly. I would have liked a few more chapters or at least an epilogue to show me what came to pass once winter and the cougar tracking was completed.
Reese is a new to me author who writes very romantic reads. SNOWFALL is as wild as I like them so if the others she has written are similar to this in the heat factor I'll give them a try but if much steamier than this then I will have to pass.
