Something Blue

Cassie Grace is all her name implies, she is graceful under pressure and her designs are simply beautiful. She won’t give into pressure and cave when one of the bridesmaids shows up to the rehearsal dinner with a brand new bust line; she’ll just do what needs to be done and make the adjustments to the dress. If she could just find the bridesmaid in question, all would be ideal in her world.

Jason Land is in town to stand up as best man for his college buddy. He knows that this day means everything to his pal and his soon-to-be wife. Jason takes it upon himself to get Amy back to the hotel to sleep it off so she’ll be ready for the wedding the next day. He never expected to find a spunky and beautiful wedding dress designer in his room searching for a lost bridesmaid, but he never looks a gift horse in the mouth.

For Cassie and Jason, the attraction is instant and consuming, but what starts as sexual attraction could end up being so much more than either of them expected. Fate, it seems, has other ideas in mind for Jason and Cassie, one that may very include SOMETHING BLUE.

B.J. McCall has written a story full of hot steamy sex and gives us a brief glimpse of what it’s like to be on the planning side of a wedding. Reading this story reminded me of the trials and tribulations that I went through before I got married; the need for things to be perfect in a not so perfect world. SOMETHING BLUE is equally balanced in its humor and heat and had me grinning from ear to ear as I read it.

Ms. McCall’s voice comes through strong in this satisfying tale of unexpected love. Full of wit and heartfelt emotion, SOMETHING BLUE is a pure pleasure to read from beginning to end and is definitely a book worth picking up.
