Rory Kendrick realizes some of his cattle are missing and follows the trail left by the rustlers. What he finds is a site he will never get out of his mind. Cutting Sadie down and getting her to a doctor is all he can think about.
When Sadie wakes up in the clinic, she is disorientated and wonders why Rory is sitting beside her bed and holding her hand. They have never been friends, or even talked to each other before, but she knows who he is. Rory has vowed to keep her safe anyway he can and doesn't want to leave her alone. Getting to know each other is what they both want to do but the fate of her brother Connor keeps her from getting too close. The events all the way through this book will keep you turning pages until the end.
This novel is the best, in my opinion, of the series so far. Watching two people come out of their comfort zones and try to find each other is a story for the ages. Add in the plot twists of drug dealers and danger at every turn creates an award winning book. I recommend STONE COLD COWBOY to all who enjoy a story of family, friends, suspense and an unforgettable ending.
