Ann Jacobs starts off this anthology with EYE OF THE STORM.  An old friend’s wedding along with a deadly hurricane bring estranged couple, Marcy and Sam Kramer, back together.  When Marcy is accidentally left on Cabbage Key during Hurricane Katrina, Sam battles the waters to go rescue her.

Huddled in the corner of her cabin at Cabbage Key, Marcy can only pray for one thing.  Sam.  So when he walks through the door, Marcy throws herself into his arms and can only think about how much she loves him and not of the hurt that he caused.  With the dangerous storm blowing around them, Marcy and Sam become reunited with each others bodies.  But can the five long years of hurt feelings and misunderstandings blow out to sea with the rest of the storm?  What will happen to Marcy and Sam when they return to the mainland and their normal lives again?

In Vonna Harper’s SAVAGE STORM, we are taken back to the time of slavery, the white man and Indians.  A runaway slave expects to die in the feral storm, only to find freedom and passion in a warrior’s arms.  Alika only wanted to escape being the Master’s sex slave.  She never expected her body to react to the savage who saved her.

Yahola came to the island to become “one” with his spirit, the panther.  Showing Alika the freedom she has been missing, not only with her body, but in the outside world, has distracted him from his spirit. Yahola finds his soul mate in Alika, but will the spirit of the panther accept her intrusion on the island and the couple’s time together?

We get to travel in time with Samantha Winston’s story TIME STORM.  It had been ten long years since Ian disappeared at sea.  Heather’s friends and family were right; it was time for her to move on.  Taking a trip to where Ian had disappeared, Heather hopes to find closure.  Instead she finds herself in the middle of a wicked storm, thrown into the sea and somehow sent to the year 1770.  Being rescued by a pirate ship, she finds herself face to face with the one man she has always loved.

Ian is not sure how this woman knows his name.  Actually, the only thing he does remember is the past ten years.  But as he is making love to this temptress he rescued he remembers everything, including the fact that he is not from this time period.  Now the question is, how did they end up there and whether or not Ian and Heather can return to their own time period.

This is a very eccentric anthology with the only thing in common being love and fierce storms.  With a contemporary, historical, and time travel story, you are sure to find something you enjoy.  In EYE OF THE STORM, we get to see Marcy and Sam reunite, along with visiting some friends from Jacob’s other “Lawyers in Love” stories.  SAVAGE STORM definitely gave me the historical fix I was looking for.  Not only did Alika find freedom, but she finds love.  TIME STORE is one of those wonderful time travel stories that shows us the big difference between time periods.  Heather had me rolling with laughter at her disgust over the pirates teeth.  This is definitely an anthology you don’t want to miss.
