MIDNIGHT ANGEL by Carly Phillips

Popular Hollywood actor Dylan North has come home to Acton, Massachusetts, to rekindle the relationship he once had with Holly Evans. He doesn't know if the feelings are still there, but he is determined to give them a chance, but will Holly be able to forgive him for abruptly leaving her all those years ago?

I thoroughly enjoyed watching these two characters become reacquainted during the holiday season. Dylan realizes that Holly has been and always will be the only woman for him, but gossip and tabloids paint him as a playboy. It is going to take some work, but Dylan is determined to win Holly over. Holly worked hard to forget him after he left her to pursue his dream of becoming an actor and shes not sure that the man he has become attracts her as much as before. Carly Phillips has created two wonderful characters that show a wealth of emotion and are impossibly to forget.

MEET ME AT MIDNIGHT by Janelle Denison

Shane Witmer finds himself feeling dismayed when he hears his long-term best friend Alyssa Harte tell him her early New Years resolution. He's kept his real feelings for her secret, not wanting to ruin their relationship, but when she states that she is finally ready to give a "real" relationship a chance after always running off when things get serious, he realizes that this time he might lose her forever. Alyssa is going to find she has a very special secret admirer this New Year's.

I've always loved stories where long time friends realize their mutual love for each other and this one is no exception. Shane and Alyssa are great characters. The manner in which Shane goes about recreating himself is intriguing as is the Internet banter between the two. Janelle Denison has written a fine holiday short story that will warm the heart.

MINE AT MIDNIGHT by Jacquie D'Alessandro

Merrie Langston may be scatterbrained in many areas of her life, but she's established a successful catering business. Tom Farrell, the accountant she hired, is her complete opposite. He needs everything to be neat and ordered and can't understand how Merrie functions. When these two end up working together, though, the sparks fly. Opposites may attract, but can they make things work?

I loved watching this clash of personalities. Merrie and Tom are compelling characters that will make you smile. This is a fun holiday treat and a fitting end to a wonderful anthology. If you're in the mood for some sweet and spicy holiday romances, pick up STROKE OF MIDNIGHT and lose yourself in the pages.
