TORT AND RETORT was written for every woman who has ever fantasized about that sexy guy at the office.  Gayle Osborne is a patent attorney who hides her sexy lingerie under power suits and secretly lusts after her partner and fellow patent attorney, Tyler Morgan.  Gayle is hiding more than just lingerie, however.  She and her friends are erotic romance reviewers where she lets her opinions run wild.  Tyler, not to be outdone, is hiding his own dirty little secret.

Ms. Anderson manages to catch the illusive spark of personality that breathes life into her heroine, Gayle.  She is witty, bright, and vividly written.  Tyler Morgan is sexy, successful, and certainly fantasy material.  The one complaint this reviewer found with the novella was that it is told strictly from Gayle’s point of view.  The reader is never allowed to see things from Tyler’s perspective.  It creates a sharp contrast between the two characters in terms of vivacity.

Overall, this reviewer found TORT AND RETORT a well-written diversion from the day.  The characters are easy on the senses and incredibly personable.  The romance sizzles between them.  The sex scenes fairly melted the poor Sony Reader.  The story is a wonderful lark on the take of inner-office romances almost every woman can relate to.
