Deidre McIntosh seems to have it all.  With the upcoming launch of her new line of cakes and cookies called Sweet Deidre, her gorgeous yet down-to-earth boyfriend, Kevin Johnson, and a great apartment, her life is set.  However, her glass house is about to rocked.  When testing for her product line hits a bumpy road and Kevin’s ex-fiancée, the chic and ultra rich Sabine, arrives in Seattle, Deidre finds herself overwhelmed and overmatched.  Turning to her friends, William and Louise, she finds little comfort and support because the two are going through their own personal dramas.  Can Deidre find it in herself, the energy to pull out another miracle and rescue her business and save her relationship again?

TABLE MANNERS is the sequel to GOOD THINGS which I loved.  The characters are wonderfully written and so alive that I can imagine sitting next to them and having a conversation with each of them.  Despite a few mishaps, Deidre goes back to basics instead of going outside of the box.  Kevin is still the greatest boyfriend ever. If only there were more like him.  The secondary characters are all great and my hope is maybe there “might” be hope of a spin-off novel for them in the future.  I was kind of sad to read the last page of TABLE MANNERS but I am hopeful that Ms. King may revisit these characters soon.  Oh and if anything, don’t forget to try the yummy recipes in the back of the book.
