By day Claudia writes a weekly column entitled ‘Slice of Life’ for a local newspaper. At night she becomes Trixie, the voice on the other end of the phone when callers dial her special TALK DIRTY TO ME phone number. As far as she’s concerned the men who call in for phone sex are the only kind she wants around, at least they don’t clutter up her home and leave the toilet seat up. One of her callers, ‘Jack,’ excites her and leaves her wanting the man with the sexy voice on the other end of the line.

Every Thursday morning for the past three years Claudia has met her best friend Gayle at the Bitter End Coffee House. During their weekly catching up coffee, Claudia confesses about ‘Jack’ and how he makes her feel. Gayle’s convinced Claudia needs a ‘flesh and blood’ man and should quit her phone sex business. Gayle knows just the man for Claudia, but she’s not interested in being set up. Instead of arguing, Gayle invites Claudia over for her husband’s, Tony, fortieth birthday party. Claudia’s has a feeling that she’s somehow being set up, but puts that to the back of her mind until she arrives at Gayle and Tom’s and learns that there’s no party. There’s only one other guest, Dr. Blake Marsh, the man Claudia literally run into at the store. Sparks fly between Claudia and Blake but she soon realizes that his voice is familiar and is determined to prove that Blake and ‘Jack’ are the same person.

I had a wonderful time reading and imagining the characters in TALK DIRTY TO ME. I can’t decide which is hotter - the actual sex between the characters or the phone sex scenes. The relationship between Blake and Claudia is interesting to observe. She got so agitated that Blake is ‘Jack’ and acts like that’s some big omission on his part but doesn’t think about how he's going to react to the news that she’s ‘Trixie.’ This is a fun, fast-paced read full of ups and downs that will keep readers glued to the pages. TALK DIRTY TO ME is the first book of Michelle Miles series called the ‘Coffee House Chronicles.' Watch for the next story in this playful series - NICE GIRLS DO.
