Bethany Acton is a charming journalist. She hides her true identity and beauty behind a mask of heavy clothing and a baseball cap.  Bethany refuses to let anyone see who she really is because of the horror that fills her past.  When Bethany meets Jonathan, an artist whom she admires, she is stunned by the electrifying passion that sizzles between them.  Although Bethany is determined to keep her distance, she soon discovers that she must trust Jonathan if she wants to be the woman she is meant to be.  Will Bethany be able to put her troubling past behind her and allow Jonathan’s love to soothe her soul?

Jonathan Merritt is a well-known photographer.  When his publisher accidentally sends out a request for reviews on his latest work, he is intrigued by a woman who wrote some very unflattering words about it.  He requests that Bethany do an exclusive interview with him for his magazine at his secluded home.  But Jonathan gets more than he bargains for when he discovers that Bethany is the mistake from his past that he must atone for.  Will Jonathan be able to destroy the wall built around Bethany’s heart before she discovers the truth?

TEACH ME TO FORGET is a contemporary romance.  Ms. Karel pens a lovely tale filled with strife, secrets and a sensual passion that will leave you fulfilled.  The characters are delightful, the descriptions rich and the secondary characters add a lot of spice to this charming tale.  I laughed at the antics and my heart soared when two tortured souls became one.

Bethany drew me in from the beginning with the mysteriousness that surrounds her.  I was completely captivated by her, especially when I learned of the horror that envelops her past.

Jonathan is a sensual man who captured my heart.  I was drawn to him because of his need to make a past sin right.  He is so patient with Bethany and falls head over heels for her.

If you are looking for a sensual romance with a mysterious background, then I would recommend TEACH ME TO FORGET by Mona Karel.
