Elena Richardson is sick of being protected by her older brother John. She's also sick of being a virgin. When Luke Thomas, millionaire and owner of her store's building walks in, she believes he wants to be hired for the stock boy position. Of course, what Luke doesn't realize is that Laney plans to seduce her stock boy the first opportunity she can get. When Luke finds this out, it is music to his ears. He'll be able to have a no-strings-attached fling and won't have to worry about falling in love. After finding his ex-wife in bed with another man, Luke is determined to never fall for another woman again, but he didn't count on the fact that Laney is sweet, charming, and very easy to fall in love with.

As they spend time together, in and out of bed, Luke can't help the possessive feelings he gets when he's with Laney, and he's starting to realize that what started out as a challenge and a fling, has quickly turned into so much more than he had ever expected to find. Then the impossible happens; he catches Laney in the arms of another man, not once but twice. Bitter, angry, and hurt, Luke breaks things off without giving Laney a chance to explain. Will Luke be able to repair the damage he has created with his inability to trust, or is Laney cursed to be in love with a man who can't let go of the past?

TEACHING ELENA is filled with heartache, love, jealousy, and hope. The more Luke gets to know Laney, the more he realizes that he has finally met the perfect woman. Maggie Casper has done a wonderful job of conveying the emotions of a couple falling in love, especially with a man who is so reluctant to trust women again. There were a few places I wanted to yell at Luke for not believing in Laney, but he more than makes up for it in the end. Ms. Casper has written a scintillating tale filled with erotic love scenes and lots of passion. Luke and Elena will be two characters you won't be able to forget easily, and this reviewer only hopes that Ms. Casper plans on writing John's story.
