Every scene seethes with anticipation, excitement, and that instantaneous achy-type yearning that can only be described as that relishing melancholy that overcomes you when you’re given a gift that you really don’t deserve.
Whether you’re projecting yourself into Trish and Joe’s characters, or watching them ride the waves of their turbulent emotions, Trish and Joe’s story will more often than not hit closer to home than you think.
It will leave you recalling the last time you looked at someone or something and knew you could never have them, or remind you of those first wakeful moments after a wonderful dream that you don’t think will ever come true.
The dialogue from each of Trish and Joe’s points of view, contrasted against the side comments of what’s actually going through their minds, are laugh-out-loud hilarious, and speaking from experience, blushingly true to life.
Tony Blake’s TEMPT ME TONIGHT is an amazingly sweet and sentimental read that will leave you a little hot under the collar, but mostly replete with the joy that comes with a well-written and entertaining read.
