After breaking up with her mooching loser boyfriend, Taylor Barwick suffers from boredom.  Just when she thinks she is about to go crazy from lack of excitement, she is asked to housesit for her good friend Lissa in the affluent neighborhood of Maple Court.  Little does Tay know that her boring life is about to become very, very interesting.

First, a sexy photographer appears at Lissa’s house, needing a place to crash and making it obvious that he’d love to help Tay end her celibacy streak.  Then Tay finds out that Pam, the friendly woman who lives next door and with whom she’s become coffee pals, is actually a successful and high class madam... and she would love for Tay to come work for her.  Suddenly Tay finds herself questioning everything she has ever known or thought about sexuality and empowerment, but is she ready to throw aside society’s conventions and give in to temptation?

TEMPTING TAYLOR is the newest erotic story from author Joan Elizabeth Lloyd and follows up on characters  introduced in last year’s THE MADAME OF MAPLE COURT.  TEMPTING TAYLOR is an intriguing  read with a smart and independent heroine who is at the point in her life where she wants to make some changes, but she isn’t sure where to begin.  I really appreciated the wry humor of many of the characters as well as the honest interactions between Tay and her “naughty” neighbor Pam.  One warning though, this is a true erotic story, there were many explicit scenes in TEMPTING TAYLOR, so it’s not for the faint of heart, and although I was satisfied with the ending, it might not appeal to those who only look for a happily ever after.  Overall, I enjoyed reading about Tay’s journey from loneliness and ennui to self confidence and empowerment.  I also liked the many secondary characters and will definitely be looking to Ms Lloyd’s backlist to read more about them.
