Leah Rebel has returned to Horseshoe and the Rebel Ranch with the sole purpose of meeting her teen-age daughter and telling Falcon she wants a divorce. Leah still loves Falcon but knows he will never forgive her for leaving. Leah didn't plan on staying away all these years. After she was hit by a car two days after she left and was in a coma for a long time, she has always intended to return to her family. One set back after another health-wise has always kept her away because she didn't want to be a burden to her family.
Falcon decides to have a talk with Leah to find out where she has been all these years before he tells Eden about Leah's request to see her. He meets her at her hotel and listens to all the trouble she has had in regaining her health and being able to function on her own. When they end up in bed together Falcon realizes he still loves he but if giving her a divorce is what she wants, and seeing her daughter also, he won't interfere. Circumstances reveal themselves in the most unusual way and these three people are brought back together as a family.
This story is one of heartache, love lost, feelings rediscovered and the pain one person has to endure to get what she wants. I recommend you have a box of tissues close by because it is a story that will have you crying like a baby. The author noted that she had to walk away sometimes while she was writing because she couldn't see through the tears. The strong women in this story with all the pain they have been through is one reason it's worth reading the book. I give this novel 4 Blue Ribbons on Romance Junkies' website because of the way Linda Warren writes about the love one family shows for each other and how they band together through everything, both good and bad. My heart hurts for the tragedy of this small family and the way they find their way back to each other.
